I’ve been scripting on Roblox since 2016.

In 2024, from Roblox commissions, I made 165K+ robux.

I released one game, and it made 399,902 robux.

Here’s the twist: I rarely accept robux from commissions. 90% of the time, I only accept USD.

In terms of USD, it was over $7,000 (2+ million robux).

I was able to make millions of robux by doing the one thing that I’m really good at: Roblox scripting.

Parts of Developing a Roblox Game

To begin with, we have to look at the parts of developing a Roblox game.

There are typically several different tasks that go into making a Roblox game.

Here are a few:

Building – Someone has to build the map for the game

Scripting – Someone has to write the code for the game to work

UI Design – Someone has to design the user interface for the game (buttons, frames, text)

Music – Someone has to make music for the game

After a game is released, there must be constant updates, or players will feel bored. On top of this, there are often bugs (issues in the code) that prevent players from playing the game the way that it’s intended to be played.

Therefore, scripters are typically needed the most. This means that scripters are in demand by game owners.

Since scripters are always in demand, we can use this to our advantage to make loads of robux.

Learn Roblox Scripting

There are plenty of ways to learn Roblox scripting, but I recommend starting out with the Beginner’s Guide to Roblox Scripting book.

Here’s how to learn Roblox scripting: The Beginner’s Guide to Roblox Scripting book will teach you how to script on Roblox in a fun and easy way.

There are tons of learning exercises, quizzes, and vocabulary lists at the end of every chapter, and the scripting book is designed so that you’ll learn Roblox scripting from the ground up, and be able to script anything you want.

I recommend getting a physical copy, reading it chapter by chapter, completing all of the quizzes and learning exercises. At the end of the book, you’ll have learned so much that you’ll be able to script your own admin commands from scratch.

Most beginner Roblox scripters try to learn how to script individual features before learning the basics. Don’t fall into this trap!

For example, beginners often try to script anime dashes before learning how to move characters. That’s like trying to cook without knowing what the ingredients are. You get confused, add random stuff, hope it works, and quit when it doesn’t.

To learn things properly, you have to start by learning the basics. In our cooking example, that means learning what each ingredient does, and learning the recipe. In Roblox scripting, that means learning the concepts at a particular order, so that if a bug (an issue) arises with your code, you’ll have the knowledge to easily fix it.

Show Off Your Scripts

After you’ve learned some Roblox scripting concepts from the book, you should immediately start building basic projects with your new knowledge. Think about a basic game that you could start making, like an obby or tycoon, or a small feature, like walking faster every second you play the game.

Script them, and post them on Twitter/X. Every day, aim to script something new and share your creations.

Slowly, people will start noticing your work.

Start small, but you should aim to script things that are really fun and will also impress a lot of people.

Begin Roblox Scripting Commissions to Make Millions of Robux

Once you’ve posted consistently, you will begin getting DMs from people, asking you to script their game.

And once you’re at this point, you can give them your price. Start cheap, but know your value. I would recommend starting with $50-$80 for a feature. Once you get very good at scripting, you can increase your prices.
