Hello! I’m Kushal Timsina, a 4th year computer science student studying at Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I’m a game developer as well. I’ve been developing on Roblox professionally since I was 12 years old. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

BattleMania<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

BattleMania is a passion project of mine, based off the popular steam game “Totally Accurate Battle Simulator” that I developed from August 2023 and released on June 20 2024. It currently has been played 1.3 million+ times worldwide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Story Behind BattleMania<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n

The story behind BattleMania is pretty simple:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I was looking for fun games to play during the summer of 2023. My brother told me to play TABS. I was initially very hesitant, as I prefer to play games I’m used to, but he convinced me. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

After downloading it, I was hooked. I played for about 2 hours, and after subsequent days, we were joking around about “what if I made this game on Roblox?”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A few days after that, I was playing TABS and closed out of it. I began developing a Roblox version of the game, and every single day since then, I made a bit of progress on what came to be BattleMania.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since I was very young (12 years old), I always wanted to impact the world in some way or another. I was so caught up with the idea of becoming a Roblox scripter, so I started a YouTube channel, where I’d learn scripting by myself, and make tutorials on it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Today, this YouTube channel has reached 890K+ total views, and continues to inspire and educate tens of thousands of viewers every month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Unofficial Beginner’s Guide to Roblox Scripting Book<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

My passion for teaching and game development led me to begin writing a book to help the world learn Roblox Lua. One day, I opened up a Google Document and began drafting chapters 1 and 2. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I aimed to write 1-2 chapters a day, and after the next 20 days or so, I finished writing the book. After about a month of editing it in Canva, I was able to self-publish it on the Barnes & Noble bookstore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Today, the book continues to educate dozens of readers worldwide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
