Roblox is a growing platform, that supports hundreds of millions of users every single day. And the best part about it is that anyone can get started with making games on the platform. In this article, you’ll learn about several places where you can learn Roblox Game Development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I’m Kushal, a developer who has been on the platform since 2011 and has been scripting games professionally<\/a> since 2016. I also teach Roblox scripting to millions of viewers on my YouTube channel<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I had to start somewhere too, so hopefully, this article can give you a better understanding of where you can begin your journey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Learn Roblox Game Development Through A Mentor<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The fastest way to learn Roblox Game Development is by finding a mentor who has already been through your struggles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A mentor is a teacher who has been on the Roblox platform for long enough to have gone through a similar experience as the one you’re trying to obtain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They will have an in-depth understanding of the curriculum that you’d have to follow, and since they’ve already gone through your struggles, they’ll be able to pinpoint common issues that you might have while you’re learning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For example, if you’re looking to learn Roblox scripting, you should look for a scripting mentor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you’re looking to learn Roblox 3D modeling, you should look for a 3D modeling mentor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The same applies to any skill that you’re looking to obtain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mentors can be expensive, depending on their years of experience, but it is definitely the fastest way to learn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Learn Roblox Game Development By Using Books<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

You can also learn using a book to learn<\/a>, as I did.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are lots of different aspects of game development. The kind of book best suited for you would depend on what aspect of Roblox game development you’re interested in learning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For example, if you’re interested in making 3D modeled characters for games, you could pick up a book on using the Blender 3D modeling software<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you’re interested in UI designing, you might find it useful to learn UI designing in Figma using this book<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Depending on the skill that you’re aiming to learn, you can search “roblox <skill name> tutorial.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For example, to learn 3D modeling, you can go to YouTube and search for “roblox 3d modeling tutorial.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To learn environmental design, you can search “roblox environmental design tutorial.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To learn Roblox scripting on YouTube, you can use my Roblox scripting tutorials on my YouTube channel, script_ing.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n
